This is the opposite side pin. I sanded it and epoxied it into the handle flush to the scales. Easy peasy.
This is the other side of the same pin. I do not want to ruin the textured scale. How would you guys attempt to finish this...
It’s has been a hot minute. I finished a few knives. Took me 6 weeks to sharpen them and take some pictures.
Up first, small hunter pattern. Elm burl handle, brass bolsters, toxic green g10 liners, brass pins. Indian Chief sheath.
Welcome to KD. I have used some of your father’s Damascus. You are steps ahead of others with that kind of help. Look forward to seeing more of your knives.
Even closer. Handles are pretty much complete. Need to sharpen, final clean-up, and sheaths.
Cherry burl-black liner
Elm burl-green liner
Buckeye burl-yellow liner
Working on three new knives. 1 Ranger and 2 small hunters. All will have brass bolsters. Handles will include cherry burl, elm burl and California buckeye burl.
I have the handles epoxied on the knife blanks. Just need to allow them to cure so I can shape them. Shouldn’t take too long to...
