    Kinda bummed....

Last Friday a friend of a relative was helping out with a silent auction for a new "no kill" animal shelter, and asked if I might want to donate something. So I picked out what I considered to be one of my best looking knives (a small drop point, 1080 flat grind, oak scales, mirror polish) and...

    Latest knife

very nice work! It looks like you might have more of a shaking problem than a focus problem. Try using a tripod, if you don't have one you can sit the camera on anything and use the timer so you're not touching it at all when it goes off.

    my third knife

That looks alot better than my third knife! I really like the look of the double tubes in the back, and it looks really comfortable. Someone once told me If you take a larger drill bit to the ends of that thong hole tubing it will bevel the edges nicely.

    peening a tang?

I'm making a small pukko style knife out of 1095, and I need to peen the end of the tang to hold it all together. I've never done this type of knife before, so my question is... Does anyone have any tips for doing this? Do I try to just clamp the blade in a vise while peening? or stick the tip...

I couldn't agree more! I was on some other forums, but I finally wised up! This forum seems much more like a group of friends. My stupid questions are tolerated much more here.

    St. Patrick's Day GAW!

Mr. O'neil goes to the doctor. “Well, Mr. O'neil,” said the doctor. “I can’t quite diagnose your case. I think it must be the drink.” “Sure, that’s all right, doc,” said Mike. “I know how you feel. I’ll come back when you’re sober.”

    I've been wondering....

I have to admit, I am a little shy about posting pics of my knives.... all I see are the imperfections. People seem to like them, but sometimes I think that's just because they don't know any better. lol!

    I've been wondering....

I have made about 20 knives now... sunk alot more money than I should in machinery and materials... made countless stupid mistakes, and fixed most of them.... I spend about 5 hours a day grinding, sanding, and profiling... I've even sold a few... So.. my question is.. When can I officially call...
