The re-worked Gerber looks good. Sounds like you have a good start on some good tools, that will make your knife experience more enjoyable. There a number of guys on this forum that will be very helpful on giving some tips for grinding. Check out the new makers forum, lots of good info there...

I believe that was produced by Gutmann. I checked eBay and there were a number of them on there in different styles, maybe one will be like the one you had. Happy hunting!
