    WIP - Sheath for Seionage

To prove that the "Apple doesn't fall too far from the tree" I logged on to discover that Dave's advice mirrored my own advice over on BF pretty darn closely! Guess you were a good teacher back then Dave! Between you, Sandy, and Gary I had an excellent pool of educators. Can you...

    Just off the Bench

Thank you! Yes! You ought to try it, inlay work is a lot of fun but a little frustrating to learn. Our own Dave Cole taught me nearly everything I know about inlay's. He is one of the best at it. :) Thank you! I do think that our work does compliment each other well, I'm glad others see that...

    Just off the Bench

Here's some new stuff going back to the knife maker Chad Cunningham. the more of his work I handle the more I like it. His work in damascus is very nice and usable. The one below has egg shell colored tegu lizard side skin. Classy looking color. This one has black tegu belly skin...

    Liner for Sheaths

    How to finish?

My most used coating is Leather Balm with Atom Wax by Fiebings. To me, wax is the easiest to take care of by the end user. I've used tan kote and really like the mellow finish as well.

    some firsts for me

Doug has a very good point, adding a welt and restitching only takes a couple of hours. A little time spent now saves a great amount later. I can think back many times taking the stitching out of a large sheath, for various reasons, and restitching. Its a difficult decision, sometimes...

    some firsts for me

For me, the welt in a sheath is as integral as the belt loop, they are both very important. Protect those stitches, or your customer may send you a bill for his stitches. Its really that important. Nice work so far, you have some talent! :)

S guard Bowie and Mexican Loop Sheath

Hi Randy, Thank you! :) Yes, the stitching does go all the way through the belt loop so it locks in place. I just prefer it that way, no flop. It can be made either way with this loop design. Thanks again!
