Never used 410 ss. I've used 416 for bolsters and it seems to shape fairly well with little fuss, though it takes some elbow grease and a few cups of coffee. Looks like you got it going in the right direction though. Is this bit being used in a hand tool or a machine?

Looks pretty good. Since I haven't made a folder yet I will bow to those with more insight, but it looks good. I would like to see more pictures though.....

Have you given any thought to having some of it stabilized? It is a good idea for the long haul.
