    Extinction!

The copper was meant to be aged to a green color to match the greenish tint in the ivory. Better pics in daylight tomorrow. Only thing is I have to clear coat that.

    Cheap Gift Knife

I don’t disagree with that. I have both Parks AAA and Parks 50 after being concerned about all the other easy to obtain oils. Expensive for the hobbyist that only makes a few knives a year, although I am making more now. I also bought an oven after concerns on temperature accuracy and...

    Cheap Gift Knife

You can criticize and I still don’t mind! Lol. It has its issues. I use some to test new things and methods. There are successes ands failures in there. I learned that I can retexture elk and it will color like Sambar. I learned that I can superglue parts together and guarantee filing...

What's the best way to sell knives as a hobbyist, not as a business?

I am still new and learning. I gave away my first 15 knives as gifts while I worked out the kinks. Just showing a few folks the progression, they eventually wanted a knife. I sold them to those folks for material cost, so I could make more, and keep improving. This year, people are asking...

    Cheap Gift Knife

I have this 12 year old boy that comes every Sunday at church to show me his latest knife purchase. They are usually the 7 dollar flipper type. I decided to make him one as a surprise and have been tinkering with it for a while. Keeping costs down by using 1084, mild steel, and elk antler...
