I like the look of the hammered look on some of my bar stock knives, but my shoulder doesn’t. Any ideas that could get that look with the least amount of work? I have using a ball peen hammer. a small power tool or a using some other physics I don’t know about?

I‘m finding when I glue my sheath and use clamps, it doesn’t come consistent. I feel like I am using too many clamps and the pressure is different or marks are made. What are some tips, and what is the best/quickest glue to use?Should I not be using clamps?

I know I have asked this question before but i am looking at different variables. Do certain steels produce more scale/black after quenching? 1075 versus 1095 for example. Does forging versus stock create more of a blackened bar after quenching?
