    I notice when I pull my blade out of the kiln, a mm or so of the edge loses its red color quickly before it hits the quench. . Is that a problem? Is my edge too thin? There is about dime width.

    I‘m finding when I glue my sheath and use clamps, it doesn’t come consistent. I feel like I am using too many clamps and the pressure is different or marks are made. What are some tips, and what is the best/quickest glue to use?Should I not be using clamps?

    Which Steel creates more scale?

    I know I have asked this question before but i am looking at different variables. Do certain steels produce more scale/black after quenching? 1075 versus 1095 for example. Does forging versus stock create more of a blackened bar after quenching?
