I had an idea too. You know the bench made 42 I hope put around the holes that red color and the latch that same color. Or something similar but I do love option 2
I found one on amazon for around 15 to 20 bucks and it works great with some oil at the pivots the pins are covered so they should never come out look up dragon tattoo balisong on amazon it's a bit on the heavy side
