There is no finish added it is wood looks like rosewood...but I have done a bit of research and this knife was made in a parkerized and a polished version there was 500000 produced and the majority are polished so the parkerized knife is harder to find...the knife your thinking about is this...

I'm trying to get more info on this knife and maybe a value!!!
