    ISO Knife Blade Manufacturing

Hi Guys, Due to some circumstances I'm unable to make my own blades at the momemt... Is there anyone willing to make a small run of my design of blades? I'm looking at 25-50 at the most and would need them cut, heat treated, ground, and sharpened and preferably made with stainless steel...

    A Few Sheaths

I haven't posted anything in a long, long time... Here are a couple of my latest sheaths.

Is My Leather Finish Causing My Knife Handles To Expand???

Thank you, Mikey! Now that you mention it, the sheaths do feel a bit damp after they sit after the staining process. I was using a dehydrator in the winter months to help dry out the sheaths and I stopped in the spring and that's when this started to happen...

Is My Leather Finish Causing My Knife Handles To Expand???

My other thought is that there is some moisture being trapped in the sheath after I stain them and wax them. I'm not sure of this, but it was pretty humid where I was doing my sheath work.

Is My Leather Finish Causing My Knife Handles To Expand???

I have ran into a problem... I recently noticed that 3 of my natural wood knife handles have expanded at least a 1/32" - 1/16" and it has started since I changed finishes on my sheaths. I have used Neatsfoot oil on all of my sheaths for 2-3 years and I liked the results, but some of my customers...

    First Try With Kydex

Hi Martin, I really like your logo, it does have a little tribal look to it! Yep, this is the same knife as the first post. The only change is the handle material has been thinned down, we found that it provided a little better grip and the overall weight was lessened. I'll try to get some...

    First Try With Kydex

Hey Laurence! I'm doing great! How have you been? Thank you, I like the function of the sheath and it fits a belt nicely. Its a start for now, and hopefully I can make some improvements. Yes, this is the rodeo safety knife. The pictured knife was made for the bull fighter that had a part in...

    First Try With Kydex

Here is a picture of a Kydex knife sheath that I have been working on. This is my second attempt, the first one was a neck knife sheath that I wasn't really impressed with. The milled slots are for a strap to allow the sheath to be worn on an ankle or leg. The knife is one of my Ripcord...

    Daqar Knife

Thanks guys! Lagrange - Thank you! The sharp finger knife really wasn't my favorite style either. What I wanted to do was take a classic look and tune it up. Laurence - Thanks! I'm making a couple of cross draw and standard sheaths for these. I'm kind of changed up my leather work a little...

    Daqar Knife

Hey guys, I've been working on this style for a little while now and finally have a few of them done. The knife is based off of the Sharp Finger style, but has been modified. AUS Stainless Steel 3.5" blade and 7.5" overall The word Daqar is Hebrew and it means to pierce or to pierce...

new handle material (kirinite) by eagle grips

How does it compare to a Micarta or G10 as far as toxicity levels? I have a hard time working with G10 even with the aid of a dust collector and a respirator. Would this be a safer alternative?

    Rope/Strap Knife

Thank you for the picture Mike. I haven't seen a handle like that, it does look very practical though. I'll have to play around with some redesigning on the cutaway knife and let you guys know how it turns out. Thanks for the suggestions guys!

    Rope/Strap Knife

Laurence, had another thought? Would jimping help or would it be better to make a thumb ramp/stop?

    Rope/Strap Knife

I have a picture of myself holding it, the angle of the picture is off a little. Laurence, I like the idea of the thumb ramp. A few people are looking and testing it out in a week or so. Hopefully they can give me some direction since they are the people that will be using them. It is a...

    Rope/Strap Knife

Thanks for the input Mike! I'm still trying to figure out the final prototype for this thing. I agree with you guys, maybe a little bigger handle and for sure a lanyard. Cory

    Rope/Strap Knife

The Clowns used to be the entertainment and helped out with the bull rider. They still somewhat do, but the bull fighter is hired strictly for helping out the riders. Its pretty interested being able to talk to him about his experiences not only as a former rider, but also as a bull fighter. Its...

    Rope/Strap Knife

Hey Laurence! The bull fighters in the rodeo circuit step in between the rider and the bull or help the rider off if they are stuck on. I'll throw a couple pictures of the guy on here that is helping me design the knife and also testing out the prototypes. He was using a strap cutter...

    Rope/Strap Knife

The knife is worn by the bull fighter on the ground, not by the riders. He wanted a neck knife that will sit behind his chest plate or a knife that would strap to his arm/leg. The neck knife is rigged with break free clasp as well. The Kydex sheath is made so that a velcro strap can be used or...

    Rope/Strap Knife

The bull fighter was looking for a compact size to wear as a neck knife. There will be some more modifying done to it, and like you suggested the point on the hook will be dulled down as well. I'm working on another style that will be full size and the finger groove will be placed farther back...
