My not yet completed friction folder.

Simple construction as you can see. Nothing fancy. Normal screws, g10 and a carbon blade. She is a real worker! Been carrying her from this afternoon. If I like it enough I will make a bigger, more attention to detail one. This one still needs file work on the spine for some character and...

Sebenza Glow in the Dark Backspacer's

It is really nothing special. You can see it here at the end of the fob, but it has improved since then. Will see if I can get some current pictures. At work at the moment and dont have those with me. I make them by mixung the epoxy and pigment and through it into a lipstick cap that I...

Sebenza Glow in the Dark Backspacer's

Here is the smaller one I made that hopefully wont keep me up at night. I bought it from a company called Nat Glow (South African branch) but there is one in the USA. They also have pigments and paints that one can play with. I use the pigment and mix it into an epoxy to make beads...

Sebenza Glow in the Dark Backspacer's

I took a few hours and made this backspacer: The plan was to make it like this: but after a while I decided to change it. The GITD only slips over the blue spacer now and snaps into place. No need to take the knife apart. I like it so far. Let me know...

My attempt at a small bushcraft blade

Thanks for all the advice! I got some nice resin and am going to start making a micarta handle for the knife. Nothing fancy, simple construction just bolted on that I can remove or store matches in. I have been beating the crap out of the knife and I dont know what, but the steel is harder, not...

    Nobody likes lockbacks?

Not my picks but JC here you go http://img4.imageshack.us/i/delica4lockup.jpg/ http://img39.imageshack.us/i/63271455.png/ The following are areas that I have heard of that can break on a lock back knife but they are unlikely if the knife is properly made: Pic1 The point of the lock can be...

    Dying Production Knives

I remember that post. It was on a Spyderco forum. It was FRN. Here is some of that dye used on G10. http://knifedogs.com/showthread.php?8939-Any-way-to-dye-or-color-G10 I have not used this, do not have it in our county as far as I know, but it seems to be really really good stuff.

My attempt at a small bushcraft blade

Thanks for the advice j. Doyle. Will keep that in mind and when I have some finances to spend will look into a steel that can be used with oil. If I have the funds I would rather send it to someone that knows HT well. That should be the best option.

My attempt at a small bushcraft blade

Well. Here is my attempt. I picked up some 12c27 a while back, been fiddling with it for some time. I dont have the right tools so I used a steel file on a black cut out. I later used a drill press with a round polishing attachment (a very old and mucky one) that I glued on some cardboard and on...
