Is 1/8 stock too thick for a slipjoint? I haven't finished any yet, but have one put together out of 3/32 CPM 154. Will the 1/8 work, as I have 25 ft of 1/8 1080, compared to 18 inches of the 3/32 154 and D2 stock, and I have alot more experience with the simple steel.

i've got a couple made out of CPM at .140 . One a 3 inch shadow drop point and the other a 2 3/4 inch dogleg with titanium scales. Both look good to my eyes not too thick.

It will work fine, I have made a couple with 1/8 1084 and they work fine, I usually use 3/32. Ill throw in with Dave though, it works much better on a bigger knife. The two I made with it were 4".
