Hey dogs just finished this one up. It is 10" long OAL with a 5.5" blade. The handle is made with stabilized redwood burl fronts and micarta behind. Pins and tube are brass.
This is the first time I have ever done a multi piece handle. I am very hapy with the seamless fit between the wood and micarta.

Any input is apprciated

Jason,
Looks like a nice Bush craft knife.
As far as your two section handle goes I think it looks good only I would have made the bolster area with the Micarta since that is much more durable than the Redwood and the redwood looks better in a larger piece so you can see the figure. I may be a bit nit picky here?

It looks like you got the pin in the Micarta a little to hot and it scorched some. Try some hand sanding with 400-600 grit paper, you may be able to remove that.

Over all I really like the knife.

Thanks lawrence. The dark ring around the one side of the pin is actually a small epoxy filed gap. I guess I either didn't peen good enough or as I took off material while shaping, I ground away the peened part.
