hi guys
well this is my first atempt with 1095 and the second try for hamon,
i make knives for 3-4 years about, and the 52100 was my favored steel for forged blades so far,but as i have say in other thread some 1095 come to my possesion couple of months ago.
so i decide to make a small blade to test my skils on this steel with an effort to make hamon also.
i hand forge this blade from a round bar triple normalization before soaking, soak in 850 celcius for 10 minutes, olive oil for quencing, i skip the tempering becouse i was hury to see the results, i think going well , also i have sanding the blade only to 800 grit, but i'm lookin to reach 2000 after the tempering offcoarse, in the next days.
tha blade are small only 8 cm.
any way here some fotos to see the result,so what you guys think i did it so far? or not, any tip and advise are welcomme
