SASSY PINK LUUNCHBOX KNIFE MAKER
I thought I would share some pics of my recently completed knife!!!

Being my first folder and second completed knife I am overall happy with it.

The blade when closed, is angled to the one side. I could not figure out how to fix it. I think is caused by the detent ball.

here are a couple pics.

Well done. I knew you would end up finishing first. It looks good. Hopefully someone will pipe up with a fix for the off center blade. Having never made a liner lock before I can't help you there.

Outstanding work Ernie! The off center is probally the detent. I hate to say it, but you will need to drill the hole in the blade a little deeper probally with a 1/16" spay bit.

Yeah I am sure it is the detent but With the blade already hardened I do not think drilling is an option.
I was sure I had the hole big, and deep enough. it closes really nice and it held closed a little.

You know, come to think of it, I think you need to re-set the detent ball deeper in the liner instead. Yea, thats the ticket. Just press the ball till only .020" is sticking up.fixed1

Looks nice Ernie! One of these days I'm gonna try my hand at a folder cuz I don't have enough frustration in my life. Well done.

PS. My folks tell me it ain't bad in Wisconsin right now. Keep up the good work.

If your washer is .020" thick then your detent ball should only be .018" sticking out of the liner. Your blade could have sides that are not parallel to each other and your liner and handle halves may not be perfectly flat.
