I have to vote for Eric as well Great at what he does and one heck of a nice guy to boot.
 
I will attach a photo later, but this category, to me, should include the new guys who strive to learn as much as possible and who may not have all the fancy equipment that others have, but still show the burning desire..........

.....so my nominee for this category is SHOKR

I will post a picture but from what I have seen I think it's got to be SHOKR. He is clearly putting in a bunch of effort and research and I reckon he is going to be pretty well known in future.
 
I have to nominate SHOKR! He has asked so many questions that I was going to ask and I have learned so much from him posting. He has the new knifemaker passion that gets me motivated to get out in the shop and ruin steel in hopes of being able to create a knife. No luck yet, but I'm getting there.

This is gonna be a tough category this year!!

I am always torn when voting here as to whether the best new maker is the guy who produces the best finished piece or the guy who strives for knowledge or the guy who accomplishes both??
