440C, hardness?

Planing a folder, 3 1/4" long, 3/32" thick, flat ground, light duty. Would like it to take a very sharp edge.
How hard do you sugest I take it?

58 rc is the normal hardness.

I agree.
If it was a Culinary Knife or other heavy worker I would say 59rc. We are with in the, + or - that happens with heat treat.
