This is a few pieces Ive welded up that for one reason or another (usually the call of the forge! :running dog:) have never been finished !

end from a mosaic bar,.

and a 3 steel feather pattern (from scrap) that never made it through heat treat, lesson learnt, only use known materials for tricky welding :rolleyes:

You should consider finishing some because the patterns are very nice.
 
Very nice John, especially like the steel in the 2nd and 3rd photos. Ever want to sell any?

Thanks for all the positives everyone!

Never sold anything ive made, its just for fun at the moment! I just like trying out new (to me) patterns.

Ive not ruled out selling some steel in the future to make the hobby 'self funding' but the problem is its so time consuming for me (hopefully ill speed up as experience grows) an average sized billet of feather pattern can have 10 hours work in it before grinding :eek:
