KNIFE MAKER
Just finished this one today. It has an interesting story to it. It was ordered by a guy who came through Infantry Basic Training when I was a Drill Sergeant in late 1999/early 2000. He wasn't in my platoon but I was one of the lead instructors for the company so, everybody got to know who I was. I have no recollection of him. He graduated and went off to his unit. I remained a Drill Sergeant until January of 2003. When I left, I took over a platoon that was already on the way to the middle east. I ended up taking the same platoon into Iraq twice. Turns out, this kid had been in that platoon until right before I got there. He had finished his enlistment and gone home and I took all his buddies to war twice. He contacted me through Facebook and told me all this, along with some of the stories he'd heard about me, thanked me for bringing everyone back, and ordered a knife. This is what I came up with for him.
