Bolster alignment how do you do it?

I'm working on a slipjoint with double (top & bottom) bolsters. After several hours of eyeballing bolster alignment and gluing them on and then taking them off several times. I finally got them so the top and bottom bolsters are parallel and the bolsters on both liners are lined up with each other.

I know there has to be an easier way to do this? How do you align your bolsters?

The through pins locate them - I temporarily affix one oversized bolster to a side of the knife either with CA glue or clamps, drill through the holes in the tang or frame, then you're free to clean the glue off or remove the clamps, then re-affix the now drilled bolster to an identical piece of stock and through drill it so you have two matching pieces which are mirrors of one another. Profile to the tang or frame from there, when cleaning up the front of the bolsters where they are adjacent to the blade pin them together and when cutting the miters, if any, go slowly and check frequently to make sure they match.
