Buffalo Horn, Mammoth Ivory and Elk Antler (and some steel as well)

Just got this one done today. the original design was for some really nice buckeye burl on the handle but i screwed that up royally and cost myself some nice wood. After that debacle i thought that maybe some elk antler would help the mammoth tusk standout. While i was splitting some elk antler in half my bandsaw blade grabbed the antler just at the very end and spun the whole thing around slamming it down on my right thumb and removing a good portion of the tip of my thumb (ouch)

well after all the frustration and blood loss (thank God for super glue) I got it done and I am very happy with it

Its one of my Huntsman knives and sits 8" overall
1095 carbon steel 1/8" differentially heat treated, 3x tempered and cryo treated with dark etching
bolsters are black buffalo horn
mammoth ivory
elk antler and mosaic pins and thong tube

let me know what ya think

I sure hope Mr.Gatz likes it, his wife seems pretty pleased with it. I am again very happy with Mr Parsons leather work, he always does a first class job and is a great guy to sit and BS with for a while, plus that leather shop always smells so much better than mine with bunt horn scent in the air lol

thanks
steve
