Cable ht question?

I have a very large supply of cable. I would like some advice on heat treating. The cable I have is from the drilling line on a rig. I don't know what steels are used in it. Any help would be awesome.

I treat mine as 1080/ 1084 steel.
Heat to 1475* for quench in oil. Temper 2x2 hours at 375*- 400*.
