Carbon, G10 and some Maple Burl

Hey guys!
I tried something a little different . Its the first time I used carbon pins and G10 for a spacer. I had a rude awakening when I used my wood band saw to cut the G10 and saw sparks . Needless to say I dogged my blade cutting that stuff . ( lesson learned , use slow metal band saw to cut that stuff)
I took a few pics in the snow this morning and a few in my light box.. I think the light box pics are getting better.. Whatta ya think ?

Mike, that is very nice! It's really interesting because it looks really close to a knife I am working on right now.
I like your style...and the file work...very nice.

Beautiful! Again, the complementary colors between the sheath and handle scales are fantastic and that's some super-tight leatherwork.
 
Great job all around! Those black carbon pins really pop out of that maple burl. Fantastic job on the sheath too. Very well made combination.

That snow is looking very appealing also. I think we had about a 3 day winter this year. It's already Spring here!

Sweet looking knife. I like the contrast also with the light wood and dark spacer,Liner & pins.
Wear a respirator and vacuum up well after working G-10 The stuff shaves into little fish hooks and once they get into your lungs the only way to get them out is after you have assumed room temperature! You don't want your young son around that stuff.

Thanks Steve , but you can have this snow. It was 8 degrees here without the wind 2 days ago. I'll take that nice fall weather before this stuff. Lol
 
Never mind, I take it back, you can keep that 8 degrees and snow! I am not even sure what 8 degrees feels like.

Another of your great looking knives and sheath. I love the out of doors pics but it looks like you are getting some great shots from your light box as well. Keep 'em coming always my pleasure to view.
