R Rudy Joly Well-Known Member May 27, 2011 #3 Furnace cement works fine for me. You can use satanite, that's what I originally used but the furnace cement is easier to source at hardware or big box stores. Good luck. Rudy

franklin Well-Known Member Jun 10, 2011 #7 you can do a cut out of cardboard and use it on both sides to get even and when applying make sure its of even thickness good luck
