Converting a ceramic kiln?

I picked up a large ceramic kiln for $100 last summer. Does anyone have any experience or insights they could share on converting it to use as a knife kiln?

Thanks in advance for any and all input!:D

I have a recent thread on that subject... The basics are that you'll need a thermocouple, PID, and SSR. I just bought those parts for a kiln I picked up. Parts were about $80 shipped from Auber. I haven't put it all together yet. If your kiln is top loading, it will be harder to use than if it's front loading.
