Lee transposed a couple numbers. The Bog Oak is some I got from the Ukraine. It came from a big dark log that was carbon dated to be 5460 years old +/- 50 years.
This is a copy of the carbon dating certificate.

Mark, Does this mean if the log wasn't found when it was it would turn into a lump of coal?

thanks Bruce, i didn't do the stone setting myself on this one, a friend did it and he did an amazing job, but i did learn alot from the process,
about the oak, i think Mark explained it well :)

and Mark, thanks for the correction, a thousand years give or take :D
