Design and application bolster, frame, and scales

I am currently working on a parameterized slipjoint design.

I understand that there are quite a few aspects are simply "designer's preference" and there is no way to put any hard requirements on those. However, I have found that relative to tangs and blades and accompanying springs there are actual 'rules of thumb' if not actual rules of physics :) one breaks such rules at his own peril :)

So far I have been able to apply some of these to design a spring and blade pair that is infinitely scalable.

I am currently looking at 'handles', frames, dies, bodies, ( essentially liner/scale/bolster combinations). Seems no two designers use the same terms in my reading.

I have since captured 30+ classic templates. They are currently spline collections, but not yet married to the blade/spring generation.

I'm getting there. Any suggestions?
