For those for whom Blade is too far or too expensive... Dallas show June 13/14

Almost every knifemaker wants to go to Blade show at some point, but many of us find those big national shows expensive or difficult. For folks within a few hours' drive of Dallas, I'd like to invite you to get a table at the Lone Star Knife Expo June 13/14. The show is in its third year, and features high quality makers as well as relatively new guys. The date we have this year is less than ideal, being so close to a major show, but it is what we have. For those of you who think you may have knives left after Blade, or for those who want to try a smaller show in the Dallas area, send me an email at frycustomknives@gmail.com and I'll get you the show registration form. Tables are $80.

Thanks,
Jason Fry

Probably too late for tables, but would love to have you all stop by and visit, or buy knives.

The show turned out reasonably well. We had about 40 knifemakers with tables, and a couple of supply guys. Most of us sold one or two, and a few did really well. The crowds weren't thick, but there were people buying. Troy Hawley, Steve Woods, and Jerry Moen did well, as did Ron Richerson's supply tables. Tim "Chops" Lambkin got the award for Best Fixed Blade and Best Tactical. Ronnie Packard won Best Folder. My frame handle dagger won Best of Show. We also had a board meeting of the Texas Knifemakers' Guild and made good progress. Membership informaton will be coming out soon.

Next year the show will be April 9-10, not the week after Blade Show, so we should have a better turnout of table holders and suppliers.
