G'day gentlemen and I assume the odd lady or two. Saw this Forum site pop up in an email and thought I'd take a look inside.

Been making knives on and off here in Oz for the last 35 years or so. Now that I have a lot more time on my hands, I aim to do a lot more.

I've just joined up as well - more of a collector but am a wannabe maker with a steep learning curve ahead of me. The whole custom knifemaking scene in Oz seems to be hotting up and more and more makers seem to be coming out of the woodwork. I think this may be because we don't have any knife manufacturers in Oz anymore except for Dewey but they're semi-custom anyway.

I have 2 customs to pay for and pick up this month. Will post pics when I have them

Whereabouts in QLD are you - I live and work in Maryborough.

G'day Fella's,

Yep, another new Aussie member thanks to being alerted to this forum thanks to local knife maker John Foxwell.

I'm a collector not a maker but want to understand more about knife making so as to appreciate what lies behind the finished products I purchase.
