Grinders going again / Knife WIP part 1

Well here’s the grinder going again! Planning on grinding a knife tomorrow I’m going to keep this thread updated as I hope I will finally finish a knife. I have done a kit and gotten close to putting handles on a few but they just weren’t up to par. Hopefully this time.

As promised here’s the two I’m going to attempt. The small little hunter/edc whatever you wants call it ended up being quite a bit smaller then I wanted because I messed up the finger well. All well. Think I can still make something of it. Going to do some cleanup and maybe bevals tomorrow.

Daniel, take a grinding wheel like those for dremmels, and dress out the finger choil!!

This is always my go to for any inside curve . I use them in my foredom and sometimes in my air die grinder but, those require a 1/4" shaft!!

Ok so long story short somone walked in the door as I was working on bevals on one and I jumped and pretty well ruined it. The other one I messed up all on my own!

Got a few other projects the next few days then I’ll get back to it!

I think I will try some freehand grinding tonight. I have been using a bubble jig but sometimes I feel like it’s in the way and I start paying more attention to the jig instead of looking at the knife and seeing what adjustments need to be made. I will update with pictures this evening.

Going to be a slow month because taxes and truck maintenance hit at the exact same time so I don’t have much money for knife making this month. LOL

Well don’t laugh too hard. Here it is. Not really the knife or the grind I was going for but the scrap buckets getting full so I better move forward with this one. All done freehand (First time trying that) plunge lines are uneven and the tips not quite centered either. It is what it is
