Hello. I have been reading the forums here for about a year and finally decided to post an intro. I am a VERY novice maker, have yet to sell a blade, but I really enjoy getting outside and putting a file on a piece of steel.
 
Welcome to the pack!
I started my knife making some 15 years ago with files.
It's a great way to see how you like it and learn some fundamentals. Some pro maker still just use files.
