Hello there!

The best advice I can give is practice, practice, practice! I still can't make anything that really looks like a knife but I keep trying and get a little better every time and have a blast doing it!

It's nice to have you with us. I made my first knife-shaped object when I was about your age. The love of knives has stuck with me ever since. Good luck on your knife-making adventures.

Welcome! just read, ask questions, and absorb. There is a wealth of knowledge here and everyone is more than happy to guide you along.

It is something that a schoo teacher told my father in about 1932 and he repeated to me often in the formative years when I was learning "how to do things".

The wisdom of school teachers!

I adopted another one, something said by one of my wife’s teachers.

“You are exactly where you want to be.” It sounded odd until I realized the sheer truth of it. It applies to every situation where we feel unhappy with our current state. Everything comes down to first taking responsibility and then taking action.
