I been wanting to try a friction folder, using an antler for the handle. How is a good way to cut the slot in the antler? Has anyone got any pics of a friction folder that they could share on here.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I use a cutting disc on my side grinder to cut the slot in the antler on this one it worked real nice.

I use a jewelers saw in a mill to cut the slot. This one is 3" o.d. x 1/8" thick.

I make quite a few friction folders. When doing antler handles I use the large reinforced cutoff wheels on my Dremel. I just double them up and they zip right through. Dave:)

Thanks guys for the help, and a look at those great looking knives. Got to give one a try when things slow down, and I get back to the shop.
