For you guys that use a leather strop belt on a 1 x 30 to sharpen knives: Which side of the belt do you use - rough or smooth and do you use green buffing compound on it? The reason I ask that is because I just got a new leather belt from Tru-grit and it came with the rough side out - it just made me wonder. Thanks,
