Hey howdy from the sunny Baja peninsula (Baja California Sur, Mexico actually) Wife and I retired here 12 years ago and totally love it. I’ve been a wood butcher/builder all my life and started doing knife work a few years ago in my open-air shop here. This has developed into a hobby time outfit called SpoonBowlKnife, which are things that I make and sell. Not making a million yet but we can go out to dinner once a week on the proceeds! I like reworking Swiss Army Knives, making small skinners, and kitchen knives. Have wood stabilizing gear in the States and stock up on handle material and steel when visiting up north. Also have a very cool contact here on the Baja for chunky ironwood logs...amazing. Couple of pix attached, and thanks for the add.

Welcome aboard! It's been many years since I visited the Baja Peninsula. I hope it's still as beautiful as when I was there.

Sean, thanks for the kind words. The Baja IS still beautiful, quiet, cheap, and warm. Couldn’t ask for much more. PLUS, it’s like living in 1950 with no sulking democrats or republicans!
