These files are a new type file , made in Japan . They have exceptionally sharp teeth
which are manufactured with a positive rake angle and flat top teeth all which differ from
usual files, suitable for all types of wood . The tooth desgn keeps files from clogging.
good for wood, bamboo, plastic resin gypsum .
These files actually plane material and give an exceptional smooth finish like a plane.
Heavy duty little files . I use the to plane my scabbards, saya , they really expose the
grain of wood as you can see in pics . They come in 1/2 round and flat cut, smooth cut,
and second cut . They run about 20$ each . They can be purchased from Japanese
woodworker in Alameda, california. For custom wood and resin handles they cant be
beat . you wont find a better wood file than these . Eventually this saya will be octagon
shaped. edges will be sharp and crisp . ...... Bubba or 1-800-537-7820 http://www.japanwoodworker.com/product.asp?s=JapanWoodworker&pf_id=16.408.150&dept_id=23042
