a mutt here can someone tell me what size wheel to grind with & how think should i start blank thanks all

I viewed some antique ones , and I have one here that I started , it still needs a hollow grind , but this is traditional shape .

some had kind of pointed tips and some were flat . This one is Tamahagane sword steel .Maybe 1/2 - 3/4" wheel ?

This one is based on old antique from kamakura period in feudal Japan ..... Bubba

I use on omote a 100mm wheel and on ura side 150 or 200 mm wheel. But on omote you can use something a bit smaller to have a bit more angle on the edge.

No hi-jack intended but, how does a curved blade like that shave? I'd think it be horrible, but obviously that's not the case. Never seen one like that.

That is an "increased" smile. that will shave as another blade but that will be more efficient with a "mowing" technic :D
