My "official" current project is a couple of heavier German-style chef's knives. A friend asked about one some time ago and I finally got around to starting it after being inspired by the Zombie butcher knife I did for the NT KITH last year. So I ordered some more 52100 from the Baron.
Then I ran across my Nesmuck pattern and started laying it out on some of the chef's knife steel. That seemed like a waste of good wide steel so I ordered another stick from the Baron (why does he make this so easy?).
I'm still working on the chef blades. Will probably HT tomorrow or Friday, but in the mean time they're profiled and thermal cycled. I think I can hear the little Nesmuck voices: "grind me, grind me, ...".
