Is it a 1hp as in your post? OR, 3/4hp as on the website? Doesn't really matter, either size will work just fine.

Let me commend you on a good design - best I've seen yet. So easy to flip from horizontal to vertical and both positions are very useful. I've got both a vertical and horizontal disk grinder.

Are you considering offering a barebones package without motor/VFD?

I've held off buying or making one of these grinders, just haven't seen the value...yet. However, there are so many folks who rave about these disk grinders. This overall design looks solid with good adjustment features. I like the thickness of the plate steel and insert tubing.
However, the welds are awful - cold joints, poor penetration & excessive splatter. I would almost be tempted to buy one of these, but not with welding that looks like this.

The photos and welds are from an initial build and mock up, not for the product we are actually selling. Just sharing photos from the process of designing. The product as it stands today has been updated in design and the welds are strong and clean.
