Hi All,
I recently took a class at Oak Bottom Forge in Portland (highly recommend), and now I'm hooked on the idea of making my own knives. I'm reading books, researching online, and joining forums like this one to find other newbies in Portland to help encourage each other to continue, to expand my knowledge, and gain inspiration.
I am currently a chef in Portland, with a sizable collection of cooking knives (mostly shun because I go to the warehouse sales). I am a younger gal who is quite small, but filled with determination.
I know there is a big community out there in PDX, so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks!
