I want to thank you folks for talking me into going to Dr. I just returned from ER and ortho Dr .

He said its not broken but has a deep thrombosis bone bruise , also my achilles tendon has a slight tear .

I can be a knuckelhead when it come to Drs. I have been to so many in the last couple years I developed

A mild psychlogical problem , they call it white coat syndrome . My blood pressure shoots way up for a while until, I can relax .

I feel better knowing its not broke . I told him all my buddies on KD where on me to have it looked at ,
he said you must have some pretty smart friends ... I agreed .

Now if my liver comes around as result of new treatment , I will be almost a new man .

Again thanks for getting on me about Dr . I sure appreciate it . sincerely Bubba

Bubba-San,
My wife Cecilia wishes you a fast recovery and I am glad to hear its not broken. I know that if a tough old bussard like you thinks it might be broken that you want to get it look at. I do know that if something is broken you want it set properly or they may have to break it again and reset it. Not fun!

You will be healed up soon!

Thanks Laurence , Like I said I can be a real knucklehead sometimes , especially when it comes to DOCTORS Regards... Bubba

Bubba, glad the heel wasn't broken but listen to what the doc's say and take care of it! I had what I would have described as a stone bruise but it would not get better and got to where it hurt so bad in the morning when I first got on my feet that if I thought crying would help, I would have broken into tears. It turned out to be a Achilles heel tendon problem! They ended up giving me shots of cortisone in the heel of my foot, told me to stay off of it and never, never go barefooted. I got flat feet to begin with. Those shots would nearly bring tears to my eyes in with deadening the foot first but, hey after a two or three treatment it started to get better! So I guess its a trade off! Nothing hurts like your feet when you have to stand on them and they hurt!

I understand the doctor thing believe me! My life kind of reads like of why haven't you died already! I never went to the doctor until I was in a bad wreck in 1998 and by 1999 I couldn't walk and had to have lower back fusion. Several heart attacks and stent operations, a brain bleed, and a few others problems I don't even care to talk about!
However after my quadruple bypass surgery I decided that it was time to be smart if I were ever going to be in my lifetime. I figure God has kept me around for a reason and now it is time to work on honoring him by having a little sense! I think I finally figured out it has to do with my Grandchildren and being able to hang around long enough to figure how to pass on something to them!

Thanks C Craft , I have been there also . I hate dr's , most of the time they offer little in the pain relief section . I was treated by some of the Bst Drs. at St Louis university Hospital in St Louis , saw him for 15 years never helped my Hepatitus not one bit .I had a real bad gaulbladder and it burst , They gave me a 50 /50 chance . With all the great dr,s "as they profess."
Could not even find a bad gaul bladder ? It took a small town country Dr to find it ... My bill at SLUH was right at a million bucks , one would think they would check my Gaulbladder ? I coded blue 3 times during surgery . You are right when its your time , it's your time . God does have a plan for us . thanks for the kind words Bubba

Thanks Smitty ,
how are thing going ?? I havent been doing much , still hard to manuever around . I have a show this week end ... That should be fun ??

Staying off my feet , still cant put any weight on it . Pain pills , hot soaks in epsom salts , and ice packs . I never thought a stupid heel would

cause this much discomfort . I hope it feels better by weekend , If not, it should be exciting trying to move all my goods to the show floor. LOL

Regards Bubba

Glad you got taken care of.
For a million bucks, you'd think you have a whole new chassis and drive train! Hope you got insurance of some sort.
I'd like to see everyone get a full MIR, tip to tail, when you hit 30-40. Give a base line for future reference.
Don't you hate when the doc's just play the "maybe this" game.
Take it easy.

I concur on that one .I have Tri-care and medicare . I also have a supplementary policy . Of the 1.2 Million my co payment was $787.50
Lucky for me .When you go to those teaching University hospitals , they have all the high tech equipment and, they dont blink an eye when they charge you 25$ for an aspirin. And 175$ for lunch, consisting of a turkey sandwich, little salad and some milk . No wonder the health care situation is all messed up ..... Pathetic . If it were not for my military service I would have to file bancruptcy!!!!!!! Heck they charged 25,000$
for a 30 mile chopper ride ????? Bubba

Sad isn't it. $127/month for my wife and I for Provincial health care, is well worth it twice over when I think of all my stitches, x-rays, specialists, broken bones......
Makes me shutter to think what hole I'd be in if I wasn't in Canada.
Funny the insurers don't tell the hospitals and suppliers to piss-off when it comes to charges like that.
Can only continue to hope things, one day, will be as they should. :s7435:
