Here's my latest Hunter. I'm fairly pleased with the way it turned out. Not crazy about how thick the handle was. I used 1/8" black G10 for the liner because that was all I had. I put a slight taper from about .700 to .800'ish on the handle. I personally like thinner handles but realize some like them a little thicker. I didn't dare sand the Cherry thinner for fear of them not looking right on this knife. This reminded me why I don't use thick liners!
Anyways, the scales are stabilized Tiger Stripe Cherry. I also left the HT scale on the ricasso and then used gun blue to turn them black. First time I've done that and I like it quite a bit. Probably because of the contrast between them and the lighter Cherry wood.
