My Latest Take-Down Knife

I made a Wakizashi recently and Historically they have take down handle-guard-spacer. I thought why would someone want this capability? Then I had to go and test it on several gallon jugs of water. As the blade got wet the water went into the habaki, tsuka and tsuba. In other words when the samurai used the blade in battle blood would get into all of these places then rust would happen followed closely by failure. Those were my thoughts anyway...
