new A-2 small hunter

It's not sharpened yet. Well I unsharpened it after cutting two knuckles. Grinding it was a chore...I have a lot of learning there.

Thanks for the comments....That's an oldie....I decided that I didn't like the design. (feel mostly) the handle needs to be an inch longer and the blade a half inch longer. I interlocked the wood through the frame which allowed me to ditch the pins .

I do this with all my knives even the one with pins...in fact I do pins mostly as a cosmetic re-assurance that my handles won't fall off...even though I believe that interlocking handles are much stronger in shear than pins.(I know because I test everything...lol)

That specific knife is a bruiser...if you drop it it hits the frame rather than the handle.

I had a real tough time grinding that knife...I think today it would be much easier as my grinding skills have improved a lot.

that burlsource.com wood is amazing and photos don't do it justice....
