I guess some of you were curious about what sword is tsuka going on ?? This one is folded 9260 and 1075 . Makes a killer cutter the carbon content is about the same as an Old Katana. Fittings are copper and brass with shibuichi menuki . Wrap is silk with black rayskin . Fittings are caste from Shakudo. In the pine needle pattern . When wraping a Katana with long Tsuka , sometimes the original hole in wood handle shrinks a little when wrapping them with cord

That's what gives them their strength. I need to finish file work on wooden handle . About 2 in Left ... How do you like this one . ? The tsuba will be forged with a pattern and make it work hardened for strength . Thanks fer lookin..... Bubba

Nice part is it is a live blade ready for cutting practice , or just hang it on wall . This blade is ready for whatever you want it to do... Thanks for the compliments . It will look a lot better once Tsuba is hammered and given a good Patina .

I also am going to change Sageo cord to black or black and gold striped. I was originally going to do the wrap in Blue but, they did not have the dark Navy blue in stock .... Bubba

Bubba-san, you do GREAT work and I do enjoy reading your posts. I always learn something.... "IF" I can just remember it {g}

Here is finished sword , Blade steel is folded 1075 and 9260 . The new tsuka file I just picked up made the job a lot easier .... Bubba
