This is a knife that I finished up last weekend.
Some stats
OAL: 12-3/4"
Blade: 7-1/2" (tip-to-choil) of W2 with a significant distal taper
Weight: 0.69lbs (313g)
Fittings: mild steel w/ blued and hot-oiled grooves
Handle: stabilized Koa from Mark Farley at BurlSource
I almost never "name" a knife, but the hamon on this one really jumped out at me. Maybe I'm the only person that sees a procession of figures coming over the hill?... one of whom is leading a pack animal?
The above detail shot also highlights the main flaw in the knife. That black spot is where my sanding exposed some of the black epoxy core. It probably should bother me more than it does... but package looks and feels so nice that I'm keeping it this way.
Thanks for looking.
