I am currently working with a piece of 5/32 S30V that came to me ground (a bit rough). Unfortunately, the piece has a lot of bowing. I have had success straightening ATS 34 and and CPM 154 by heating it to about 500 degrees in my furnace, straightening it quickly and then running a stress relief cycle at 1200 degrees for 2 hours. The bow keeps coming back in this stuff. I am considering attempting to anneal it after straightening to see if that will work but I would sure appreciate any advice or experience any of you may have.
