Many years ago I knew an old man that made some knives out of what he said was old cross cut saw blades. He claimed that it was the same as S7 steel. I am wondering if anyone uses this steel these days?
S-7 is a cold work steel for cold chisels and punches, also used in plastic injection molds. I have used it to make chisels and plan to make more. I have attached a pic of one that I have made.
