Well the wife and I went deer hunting and both got mule deer bucks. Her first deer, our host, a farmer and rancher sent me home with his whole blacksmith shop including his old coal forge with blower, his anvil, a bunch of tongs and some metal!

Great score. Was the host a former blacksmith that no longer needed his tools?
No, they have been on that ranch since they were new, the blacksmith shop has been a catch all since about 1955 according to him! That’s before my Dad was born, pretty cool to be bringing it back to life!!!

He didn't fill you all in on the rest! He's got a new Wife......got a new Rifle...... He and Her both filled their Mule Deer tags......and now this awesome anvil falls in his lap!!!

SOMEBODY BETTER BE PLAYING THE LOTTERY THIS WEEK!!! ;) :)
And a new car and it’s faaaast! Well, it’s a Durango with the 6.4L 475 HP hemi

That's a really nice anvil. Something like that would be at least a grand around here, probably more
Good score!

The base is just 4 pieces of 6x6 pressure treated wood cut at 22 1/2” and then bolted together with 8 1/2” by 10” bolts with washers... nothing fancy but it should do
