Had a customer come by the farmers market I do every week and order a pouch type sheath with a snap. Only problem it was for a Buck#302? A very small slipjoint.
Guy is wheelchair bound and wanted it to clip onto his trouser band.
Dang clip is near as big as the entire sheath. I took dimensions a and discovered it was prit near identical in size to a Queen Peanut so I used that for a template.
Any comments or suggestions ? Thanks bruce

Bruce, good little design. When doing sheaths like this I line them with 2-3 oz vegtan. Then you can put the clip on the inside, the snap is covered. and it finishs the inside off nicer than the flesh side of the leather.Dave:)

Thanks Dave, I thought about a liner. Figgered if this worked well, I can add to on the next one :)
How do you finish the top , at the opening of the sheath? Just glue?
I delivered one to this fella last week. he called and said it was fine 'cept he doesn't wear a belt. So I told him I'd build another :)with a clip.

Bruce, Yes gluing is fine, just get good coverage on your glue.Sand the top and burnish and it's hard to tell it's two pieces.Dave
